Since 2012, The Foster Network has been a pillar of support for foster families in Sioux Falls and the surrounding areas. Originally established as the East River Foster Parent Network, the organization rebranded in 2022 to reflect its expanded mission and commitment to the entire community.

Empower and support families who care for children placed through a licensing agency.

Their work ensures:

• Children in the foster system have a safe and stable place to live.
• Families caring for foster children have access to essential education and resources, helping them build happy, loving homes.
• The public receives reliable information about the foster care system and ways to support local families.

How You Can Make an Impact

We are hosting a new shoe drive for The Foster Network’s Back-to-School event at all LallyCooler Shuttle locations. You can drop off new shoes in youth and adult sizes (from 10C up to men’s size 15) in the black carts at any of the four shuttle locations.

In addition to shoes, donations of new sweatshirts and packs of new underwear (in all youth and adult sizes) are also welcome. Please place these items in The Foster Network donation drop-off bins.
